<p>I'm wondering if they were rat rats or escaped pet rodents from the pet store.</p>

Just a few weeks back the Pet Supermarket next door to Melton's<br>
was doing a major "remodelling" job. They may have been trying<br>
to clean up their act and clear out an infestation. May be that this<br>
just had the rats moving to the closest available shelter and food<br>
source.<br>

Anyway, I'll be happy to frequent Melton's again when they<br>
reopen.<br>
