Check through the system logs for suspicious errors. You might have the right drivers, but power management just didn't get configured safely...it would list errors about power levels triggering or not triggering.<br>

lm-sensors if memory serves)<br>

possibly "yum install lm_sensors" followed by running "sensors-detect"<br>
as root.<br>

to have sensors read in Fahrenheit would be "sensors -f"<br>
<br>
now i have to go wash my hands... ugh, red hat commands...<br>
