There is a "classic gnome with compiz" option for desktop in the gdm login for Fedora15.<br><br>From what I've been reading, Unity has done similar looks-good/works-bad stuff. <br><br>Ugh. This is worse than the "ribbons" in the latest M$ Office. At least that didn't break stuff. It was just a UI change with no benefit.<br>

Thank you Jim for the review. I've been working-up a new system for my<br>
desktop and have been listening for reviews of Gnome3. The more I see<br>
of what's going on with Unity and Gnome3 the more I think I'll stick<br>
with Gnome2 (my preference).<br>
