Since they have these at Microcenter, and they aren't usually dweebs about poking in a live CD, go test it with your fav distro and see if it works.<br><br><div class="gmail_quote">On Fri, May 20, 2011 at 11:45 AM, Joshua Roberts <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:jrtroberts@gmail.com">jrtroberts@gmail.com</a>></span> wrote:<br>

It looks good, but the asus website has no information on it, and the asus call center techs cannot find it either. strange.<div>
I can see some windows drivers for it in the support section of the asus website. Funny.</div>
<div>I may add this to my list of candidates. I wonder how linux will run on it. Hopefully there are not any driver issues.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks.<div><div></div><div class="h5"><br><br><div class="gmail_quote">

Maybe bluefish at most, but probably just nano/vim/gedit/... and compile with g++ or javac or whatever command line compiler I need for the language I am using.<div>
I wouldn't mind some extra horsepower, but the cost of a slightly better processor and an extra gig of ram is possibly too high.<div><div></div><div><br>

One question is what will you use to write programs? Eclipse is<br>
somewhat heavyweight, so you'd need more horsepower<br>
than if you use vi/vim/emacs<br>
