Funny you should ask...we just got one yesterday as a Mother's Day present for my wife. Got it on Tiger Direct for a very good price (well below $300) and so far it isn't bad. Of course I haven't gotten much time on it as the wife is putting it through its paces. I just put a PDF doc on a thumb drive but was not able to open it out of the box. Media files are a cinch, but PDF may take a plug-in. (I got the same results as you...) Will see if I can find any tools for PDF....<BR>

Does anyone here have experience or knowledge of the Achos 101 tablet?
I am thinking of getting one for the following reasons:
~ $300
10" dual touch capacitive screen
WiFi
It claims to dual boot Android and Linux Angstrom.
It accepts micro SDHC and USB 2 flash drives.
My primary purpose is to read PDF documents.
I tried testing one at BrandSmart in Kennesaw, but was not successful
there. That is, I plugged in a flash drive and saw my files, but the
tablet failed to open a PDF when I selected it.
Thoughts?
...John
