Sounds like gnome-panel went away. <br><br>Unless it was removed from the system, a log out, log in should bring it back. <br><br>Hmm. ctl-alt-F3 then ctl-alt-del to reboot may be a better route. not sure how ubuntu hooks up some stuff.<br>

Freinds:<br><br>My cousin lives in India and he installed Ubuntu 10.04 I think about 3 months ago. It is working out well for him. Recently he did something that made him loose the start menu and the task bar.<br><br>Any pointers on how to fix this ?<br>
