Derek,

We, CCSI (Computer & Control Solutions, Inc.) on Buford Hwy ~ 0.5 mi North of Sugarloaf have many pounds of computer screws (like on the order of 50#) from various builds over the years in several lengths and head configurations. I also have a stash at home in Fayetteville, GA. If either location would be convenient, come on by and I'll be happy to donate a handful.

Meanwhile, 3.5" hard drives universally have 6/32 screws and there is probably a metric equivalent but not sure what that would be.

Regards,
Greg Clifton

On Sun, Mar 13, 2011 at 7:09 PM, Derek Atkins <warlord@mit.edu> wrote:

When my 3.5" HDDs arrived the other day and I went to mount them into my
drive trays I noticed that the trays only had 2 screws each. Obviously
the drives would be more secure with 4 screws each. All my supplies are
in boxes at the moment, so.. does anyone know where I can acquire 4 HDD
mounting screws in the next few days? (I certainly wouldn't mind paying
a few dollars for them, or even mail-ordering them).

The screws I have appear to be the "flat head" variety, ~3/16" long, with
a very thin head.
