It made a desperate HMMM and now there's no audio AT ALL - not from the jack, not from the speakers (I verified that with either/both OS's booted). I wonder if I burned the sound card. My questions are:

1. Is there suck facility/utility as safety fuses on a laptop? Something like those in a car or a house or electronic devices? Something I can easily (and cheaply) replace? If so, where is it?

If "NO" to the above:
2. Anybody here can/want to take a look at it?
3. How much am I expected to pay for repair? Does it even worth it?

Thanks,

-- Asher
