Wait, you have an android phone with Verizon with no data plan? How did you pull that off??? I have been eligible to upgrade since Jan 2010 but have not done so because of the required $30/mo data plan. I spoke with the at least twice and was told there was no way to opt out, so I told them that I would be leaving once all the phones on the account were out from under contract. A week or so ago I got a survey asking why I had not upgraded. It asked what it would take to get me to upgrade and one of the choices was "No data plan." Then last night I took a look online about upgrade options and I see that they are offering $15 data plans. So I am glad to see that they are getting push back on their $30
requirement.<br><br><div class="gmail_quote">On Tue, Nov 23, 2010 at 11:25 AM, Preston Boyington <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:preston.lists@gmail.com">preston.lists@gmail.com</a>></span> wrote:<br><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin: 0pt 0pt 0pt 0.8ex; border-left: 1px solid rgb(204, 204, 204); padding-left: 1ex;">

</div>I use Verizon, but no data plan. I use a Verizon Wireless G'zOne Type-S<br>
in Black & Silver and am not aware of a tether feature. I'll check the<br>
boards and see what I can find.<br>
