of DOCSIS 3.0 thread which is NOT at all what I asked. I made it clear that I
could guess it had to do with DOCSIS 3.0/DOCSIS 2.0 and also that the website I
found at Comcast made it clear that both are supported and that my modem
supports DOCSIS 2.0.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

responses it appears the answer is: No one knows. That’s not surprising

get the faster one, but I'm not willing to pay that much extra. :-)<br>

In any case, I'd recommend getting a new DOCSIS 3 modem anyway. The<br>
SB5100 series is getting pretty dated...<br>
