I for one would love to see such a thing. With my work schedule and little ones at home, getting down inside the perimeter is just not feasible on a week day evening. But with the LUG NUTs group being relatively closer and with little traffic, getting there to virtually be part of the ALE meetings would be spot on and completely doable.

Rich DeMARS
IT Manager - Stonebranch, Inc.
P: 678-366-7887 ext:349 - F: 678-366-7717
rich.demars@stonebranch.com
www.stonebranch.com

IT Mission Statement
To provide consistent solutions to the IT
department's customers, so that they have
the tools to help the company remain
profitable.

-----Original Message-----
From: "Jim Kinney" <jim.kinney@gmail.com>
Sent: Thursday, June 10, 2010 8:14am
To: "Atlanta Linux Enthusiasts - Yes! pursue the potential that lies inside of ALE. We would like to do this
by becoming a satellite group of ALE.

Besides getting our members on to the list serve, we would like to know
what our other options are concerning the site and its uses.

We would also like to know if it would be possible for us to get a
'Virtual Chair' inside your meetings, allowing the LUG NUTs group to be
present during the ALE meetings. What is the potential for us to get an
interactive stream of your meetings into our college via the internet
and a small number of applications running in Linux?
We are hoping this will increase the meeting attendance for both groups
as many people live or work in the Alpharetta/Cumming area and may not
be able to make the commute on that one Lone Thursday each month down to
Atlanta to be a part of ALE.
Hopefully we can work something out.

Thank you all again for you support.
