I just bought a PC with a 5-1/2" 250GB HD and an eSATA connection. I wanted to have a clean image. So I ran down to MicroCenter to get at least a 250GB eSATA drive but I walked out with a 2.5" 500GB SATA and a small USB enclosure. The empty enclosure was $10 but I could have gotten an empty eSATA enclosure for $110. There are drives on the shelf there as low as 160GB.

I only need periodic backups, so the USB was a better fit for my budget.

What are some good (or not so good) ones? Sometime back,
