Well, one down out of three sounds like tie for an upgrade anyway. Backup the data on the other two and give it a shot.<br><br>I have 5 9G scsi drives in a box if you are dying to keep scsi drives running.<br><br><div class="gmail_quote">

I have 2 other HDDs of that make/model but am too afraid to risk<br>
screwing them up. I also don't have the necessary (tiny) tools.<br>
If they were more modern/common/easily available drives I'd<br>
be lots less averse to trying that little trick. :)<br>
