<p>Cinelerra is a huge tool. It will eat hardware so toss a dual socket, quad core Opteron at it with 16 GB RAM for blistering performance. For live feed editing, get the cards they have on heroinevirtual site as they are high performance and supurbly supported.<br>
I tried the liveCD version and found it very very old and lacking. Compiling from source is an exercise not for the faint of heart or patience!</p>
