Drupal is an awesome content management application but she might do better with Wordpress which is much simpler.

Brian

On Wed, Nov 4, 2009 at 10:57 AM, scott mcbrien <smcbrien@gmail.com> wrote:
There's some learning that has to happen around some of the terminology like "Publish Article" "Create Section"; but all the page layout and content is done through pushbutton webui. You'll likely have to do some initial work to find and install the theme she wants, but other than that, it's pretty hands off.

All,

My wife wants to launch a small business and needs to design a web page for it.

I can host it on virtual linux server I control (ftp / apache already
in place), but it has been 5+ yrs since I created a marketing web
page.

What is a good solution for doing this? I don't want her to have to
invest man-weeks coming up to speed. So quick and dirty is the
secret. A windows solution is fine (and she may prefer it).

A solution where she pays a couple hundred to get one thrown together
for her would work fine too.
