<P><FONT SIZE=2>I went through a few more 'bootless' [in the Shakespearean sense] cycles then brought up Firefox 'help'. I found it works better when I check "Enable Java" in Edit->Preferences->Content. &8-P)<BR>

You want to create a sym link from /usr/lib/firefox*/plugins to<BR>
/usr/java/jre1.6.0_13/plugins/nss/lib*java.so (I might have the exact paths<BR>
incorrect, I'm doing this from memory, but they should be close) You'll<BR>
need to kill all open firefox sessions for the new plugin to be loaded upon<BR>
next firefox exec.<BR>
