I agree, I should not need a new connection, but when I make the move
the internet becomes almost unusable. It seems like a combination of
noise+singal loss. I have tried dhcpd -k. Once my laptop switches from
one AP to another it loses the network. Maybe something to do with the
way the campus network works? If nothing works, Ill try to install
network manager, but i would much rather know why this is happening.<br>

I'm confused as to why you need to negotiate a new connection. You<br>
shouldn't be loosing so much signal strength between the hall and the<br>
classroom that it would matter. If you _do_ loose that much signal,<br>
then the wireless card should automatically look for a stronger<br>
signal. That's the way it works.<br>

Anyway, have you tried using `dhcpcd -k` to get a new lease?<br>
