Strange. Sounds like an environment issue. What happens if you run it from a regular crontab cron job?
Also, how does it stop on time in your script?

I'm wondering if the kcron applet gets swapped out and the process just dies then.
I wrote a little script that starts Streamripper and records from an
internet
radio station to record a friend's late-night radio show.
It is set to run for 2 hours. If I run it from a terminal, it
continues to record
but if I start it with Kcron, it records 176.0 KB and stops.
I Googled up the same problem but didn't find an answer.
Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10
Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,
