Less current features than Linux, but more stable and more documented. Gnome and KDE are in the packages and probably 90% of what Linux offers also is available.<BR>

Well, on my ancient ThinkPad I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 quite nicely.<BR>

I tried Ubuntu 7.10 and also 8.04. I'm having an issue with the CD freezing up in the menu. After it boots it gives me options to run the LiveCD, Check the CD, etc. When I press ENTER it freezes up. I posted on Ubuntu's forum and someone mentioned something about:<BR>

I'll have to search that up, but I don't know what that is. I did install OpenSUSE , one time, so the CD drive isn't broken.<BR>
