Jim, sounds like you will want the Westel to be bridged to the router. Let the router manage your internal DHCP. This will also be easier for setting up any IP forwarding you want from the outside world into your internal network i.e. ssh connections and so forth.<br>

Westel can be configured to either be PPPoE or Bridge Ethernet. Does it<br>
have to one or the other in order for me to successfully change from the<br>
router being DHCP to having static addresses for the machines?<br>
