I've been doing tab expansion for a long time, but today I could only<br>
remember the middle portion of a dir name.<br>

So I typed "cd /..../*123*/"<br>
<br>
I then hit tab even though I was sure it would not work. Instead my *<br>
chars were replaced by the correct data. Very cool.<br>
