I encourage everyone with an interest in science and education to participate in any way they can. These events get national coverage and the students are truly outstanding. Google is a prime sponsor of this and just put out the call for volunteers today internally. I am hoping I can be one of the grand judges.<br>
<br>There is a smaller event (not at this same time) called Science Olympiad that involves activities from 4th grade through 12th grade. If people have an afternoon a week, pick a school and go volunteer as a coach. It's better than basketball and the kids really have a blast. <br>

The Intel Science Fair is coming to Atlanta in mid-May. They're looking
for people interested in science and technology to volunteer for some
or all of the week or so they'll be in town. The fair is
scheduled for May 11-16 at the Georgia World Congress Center near
Marietta Street in downtown Atlanta. It's gonna draw 1500 or so local
science-fair winners from all over the world. They're lookin'
for commitments of as little as 4 hours total. Could be a Fun Time if
you're interested in helping out really bright, technically inclined
kids. <br>
