Hello,
I have a Olympus D-320L digital camera which I am trying to get to work
with a Linux program by the name of "camediaplay". According to the
documentation that comes with the program it is supposed to work with
this camera.
I downloaded several versions of "camediaplay" ( .deb, .rpm and
regular .tar.gz) and installed them without a problem .
However, I could not get any of them to work. From a command like
"camediaplay /dev/tty00"
I get error messages like "camera not ready" or "inappropriate device
specified, or device permissions error" , or "error getting npicts".
Needles to say I tried all sorts of "/dev/xxx's".
The camera works flawless from inside a program from the Evil Empire, so
it seems to be properly hardwired to the computer.
Am I missing an elephant? If there is somebody out there, who knows
something about this problem, I would greatly appreciate his/her input.
Thank you.
