I'm sure that somebody on this list knows better than I, but here is my 2

bits...

Possiblity one: compile the scsi devices into a custom kernel. Not what

most would call "pretty", but sufficiently faster than booting from a

floppy to be a happyness while working out other details.

Possiblity two: boot from the ide drive, with the root set to the

appropriate scsi drive partition (RTFM please, because while I've done it,

I've also forgotten how. It is in lilo.)

Possiblity three: I don't know how to do what you want, but I'm sure the

answer will turn up here soon. 8-)
