Opportunity to work for an Internet-based company in the Perimeter area
of Atlanta. This is a dynamic state-of-the art environment. If you
have previous work experience in a Web Hosting/Internet environment and
the ability to win customer confidence in your technical abilities, this
is the place for you.
Your primary responsibilities would include:
*        Proactive support for a Mission Critical Linux Help Desk
environment.
*        Planning and implementing installations, upgrades and
reconfigurations.
*        Ongoing support for Linux and NT and supported hardware
platforms.
*        Crisis management, problem isolation and resolution using system
software and diagnostics.
*        Managing technical escalations through to resolution including
up to the minute status reports.
*        Acting as a direct customer contact and customer advocate.
Required Skills
*        Must have Linux!!
*        2-4 years or more of technical support/help desk experience or
NOC administration.
*        A+ certification a plus.
*        Vast hardware knowledge or ability to learn latest technologies.
*        AS degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
*        Self motivated in a highly technical field.
*        Capable of performing in a high stress, fast passed technical
hardware/software environment.
*        Highly organized with excellent communication skills, written
and verbal.
