I have a 133Mhz 6x86 Cyrix chip that has been happily running Linux since
early 1996. Originally a RedHat box (2.something, I think), it was upgraded
through the 4 and 5 series RedHat releases and I finally installed Caldera
OpenLinux 2.1 over a year ago and then upgraded to 2.2. I have never had
any problems with this system and for its first 1 1/2 years of life it was
my primary system. I also have a 300 Mhz Cyrix M1 which runs Mandrake 7.0
and I haven't had any problems with it that are processor related (have had
problems with a marginal SCSI disk).
