Here's a simplification of the command line I use that works under both
Linux and Windows
ssh -l jeff -R 6002:127.0.0.1:6000 remote.host /usr/X11R6/bin/xterm -display
127.0.0.1:2
Note that port 6002 corresponds to display *:2 - you can adjust accordingly
