If you already have windows installed then I would install the second drive
as slave on my primary controller. Install lilo to the Master boot record
which will be your current drive. Also create a boot disk when prompted. If
you ever want to go back to only your Windows OS ( God only know why one
would do such a thing) simply boot into dos with a widows boot disk and run
fdisk /mbr and then sys c: (You need to copy fdisk.exe and sys.com to you
Windows boot floppy)
If you are new to linux and just want to experiment you could also create
the boot floppy and skip the install of lilo and boot from the floppy to
load linux. This is not as slow as it may sound and is a good way to start
with linux while not affecting you existing OS at all.
