It is better to find out what are the kernel options of a stock RH 6.2, then
recompile your kernel on a Slackware system.
RH 6.2 and Slackware 7.0 kernels should be interchangeable.

Subject: Re: [ale] FreeS/Wan with Slackware 2.2.13 kernel
Ok, so I couldn't get FreeS/Wan to work with a Slack kernel (2.2.13 or 14).
So, next question: Swan in a RH 6.2 kernel compiled just fine. Could I
simply take the good RH 2.2.14 kernel and copy it to my 2 Slackware systems
(running 2.2.14 also) and expect it to work?
i.e. are RH & Slackware kernels virtually interchangeable as long as they're
the same version & release?
