I agreee with the previous poster - Microsoft is as much at fault, shipping
software that allows full network access without warning the user of the
consequences.
Overall, though, I think the lawsuit's groundless - the popular media is so
full of 'hacking' and virus stories that anyone who even thinks about a 24/7
internet connection needs to be half braindead not to consider security, and
moreso
than just looking for the word 'secure' in the marketing literature. Heck,
even my wife, someone not at all up on the computer security field, has
expressed
concerns over security when we finally decide to get our DSL/cable modem.
