On the other hand, I've successfully installed (and continued to run)

several systems based on the original Mandrake 7.0 release.  Appropriate

patches and even new ISO images are available on the

www.linux-mandrake.com website for those that need them.  As "Wandered

Inn" mentioned, there was a nasty bug in the disk tools, however that's

life with software.  It's been fixed and tested, and (by my opinion) you

should feel no hesitation about using it.  Good Luck
