Chris,
I have had pretty good luck with my Sprint PCS phone. I have travel
with it, and most places I have been to it works fine. I will admit
that I have had similar problems. Occasional I will try to connect and
hold it to my ear, and nothing, when I check the display it is back to
it's normal wait mode. I usually connect on the second time. I had
some problems early on, with 'Searching for service' delays when I am
trying to dial. That hasn't been happening recently. I have noticed a
few dead spots in my daily commute where connections get weak, and
sometimes drop.
So all in all, it hasn't been perfect.
For what it is worth, I live in Norcross, and commute to Alpharetta West
of 400 for work. the dead spots I have hit are usually inbetween in the
drive.
My $.02 worth.
