Finally my budget is approved!! So here goes...
Dynamic (meaning you better be flexible cause things change a lot!)
company in Marietta needs some additional developers for new
implementation and deployment of an advanced distributed computing
environment. We have need for developers of various skill levels that
can do anything or everything from basic html design of end-user
interfaces to implementation or integration of our system's
application with existing products (such as relational databases or
Java), to full-scale systems programming in C++ of our distributed
environment. We're open to finding multiple developers specializing in
each aspect of the project or a few persons with a very wide skill
base that enjoy working with all these technologies.
Applicants must be very self-sufficient and capable of
self-discipline in meeting schedules and keeping fellow team members
informed of their status. There is opportunity for work at home and
extremely flexible hours for personnel who demonstrate this
self-discipline. Developers can work under Intel/Sparc Linux, Sparc
Solaris, and/or Intel Windows NT (even!) according to their own
preferences. We also generally provide free internet services to our
developers as well as the other typical hacker fare (food, cokes,
pinball [when the machine works], et al).
Our company is formerly the R&D division of a multi-national telecom
group that's being spun off with the intent to go public. We're very
small yet involved heavily with some big partners who are providing
some unique services to the general and ISP internet community.
Everyone in our group is a developer and we do not have the typical
customer support responsibilities that come with a lot of programming
jobs. Pay is quite good (commensurate with experience, naturally) with
the potential of the big payoff of an IPO. These are not jobs for the
suit and tie 9-5'ers nor for people who are so undisciplined that they
cannot focus on deliverables. If you think you fall somewhere
in-between those areas and want to really demonstrate/expand your
skills then email me your resume in ascii, rtf, or Win Word format to
scherrey@switchco.com.
thanx & later,
Ben Scherrey
