Turning off encryption? While at home it may not seem to be a big deal, but
you'll very easily find yourself doing it elswhere if you make it a habit...
It's better to enable encryption on the samba side.... The latest samba
howto is very easy to follow and explains just how to do this...
A cut from the howto:
encrypt passwords = yes
smb passwd file = /etc/smbpasswd
This goes under [global] in your /etc/smb.conf
