That would be Network Solutions, www.networksolutions.com.
Good luck getting them to do anything without a bunch of emails and
phone calls. Their customer "service" is, IMHO, why so many people lobbied
the "powers that be" to offer alternatives.
Finally there are. I'll be switching my NSI-based domain because I
still cannot get them to change my snail address after six years of myself
and Mindspring trying! I have gotten good results from enom.com.
Enom's name servers are geographically dispersed with backup power and
connections to multiple backbones and have an all-Linux server arrangement
(Mandrake & Red Hat) with headquarters in Redmond! Their web server does
use the "wrong" OS but uses SSL for secure web interaction, unlike NSI.
They offer a web-based system that works for updating or adding domains.
I found it very easy.
