It works perfectly with kernel 2.2.13. It does complain about kernel
version mismatch though.

A couple other folks pointed here as well. Actually, I had been
checking it out as there is a link from the Linux laptop page to this
site. It appears that I have a Lucent winmodem. There is a binary
module provided by Lucent, but alas, different kernel, so it will
require a recompile with the 'set version info on all symbols for
modules' option, unless someone knows a different way to make this work?
