There are several windows share that I like to have mounted on my
linux box. I mount them with samba 2.06 like so:
//atldcsns01/Development                /mnt/NTServer                smbfs        auto,user,username=uname,passwd=passwd,uid=hirsch,gid=hirsch 0 0
and this seems to work well. I can read and write the files there.
What doesn't work well is that after a few minutes if idle time they
are no longer there. I have to umount and mount them again before I
can see the files.
Anyone know what is causing this? I had similar problems with samba
2.05 that came with RedHat 6.1. I upgraded to the 2.06 binaries
supplied by samba.org, but these problems persist.
Thanks,
