You can't background something in one shell and foreground it
in another. It just doesn't work that way. :) What you can do is use
screen to start a shell and run the d.net client in that shell. You
can detach from the screen session, and then reattach back to your
same session and same shell later. Read the screen manpage for more
details on using screen.
