That would be because once you've thrown it to the background
and logged off the terminal that background process no longer has a
controlling terminal and is running completely in the background. At
that time the only thing you can do to have it running in the fore-
ground again or as a background listed job is to kill the running
process and restart it. In the case of distributed.net's client there
is really no real need to run it in the foreground or to have it listed
in 'jobs' as if you configure it to use a logfile you can easily monitor
it's progress without that need...
