THIS MONTH:
Topic: Introduction to Real Time Linux
Speaker: Dr. Robert Butera, Assistant Professor,
School of Electrical and Computer Engineering
This talk will be a layperson's introduction to Real-time
Linux (RTL), and what real-time operating systems are used for.
I'll demonstrate some of the basic features using BUZZ, an RT-Linux
demo/tutorial program that utilizes the PC speaker as a
low-FM sound generator, and then talk about how it is used in my
lab at GT to have computers "talking" to real-live neurons.
