Maybe I am just naive and need to read a spec somewhere but,
I was playing with php(3.0.15) and created a form that took a single textfiled
and assigned it to the variable $username. Then I stuck the thing in a cookie.
Now in another window (xterm) I looked at the ~/.netscape/cookies file. To my
liking my information appeared there. SO, I delete the cookies files completely
(rm cookies), tweak the php script, reload the NS window, check the cookies file
again, and to my dismay not only is my new info there, but so is any recent
cookies.
SO, is this standard behavior that a browser caches cookies for that session
(session == while window stays open)? Is there a way to turn that off (it's not
an 'Internet Option' or 'Preference')?
Just wondering,
