Just FYI, from the Kernel Notes page
(http://kt.linuxcare.com/latest.html), Ted Tso was saying that they'll
be removing a "consistency check" from the mount syscall. It takes a
good bit of time, and really doesn't do all that fsck does, anyway.
The good news is that adding an option to the mount command line works
too: "mount -o check=none [mumble, mumble]".
That may help, too, if you have largeish disks.
