I neglected to mention in my former request for assistance that........
I have already installed an IDE CD/RW emulating SCSI, of course, which
works satisfactorily. When this devices is initiated, scd[0-7] is probed
without finding the "real" SCSI CDROM, which apparently is installed as
sr8, which I created with mknod as .... mknod sr8 b 11 8.
But,
mount -t iso9660 /dev/sr8 /cdrom....
doesn't mount a working CD.
I get the message........"No medium found".
Without success, I also tried scd1.
