There is a driver for the HPT UMDA66 controller. It is not in the
standard kernel yet, but it will get there soon.
It seems that ATA66 does not increase the "real" performance compared
to ATA33. A lot of people will argue going to SCSI instead.

Oh, another thing. The Maxtor tech told me Linux does not support ata66
technology. He said there were three thing you needed for it to work:
1. a drive that supports it,
2. a mb or controller card that supports it,
3. and an OS that supports it.
Anyone care to argue that point? I've not found any documentation
regarding ata66 in the Linux world, so I'm clueless...
