Greetings !
An NEC scsi2 cdrom [reader] is recognized at bootup as /dev/sr8 by
RedHat6.1 using a Tekram scsi3 controller. There is no /dev/sr8.
Another device [burner] is able to mount CDs as "scd0".
However when I try to ...mount -t iso9660 /dev/scd1 /cdrom... regarding
the reader, I get a message that there is no media in the drive [a valid
CD IS in the drive, however]. Otherwise, all the usual messages when
successfully mounting a CD appear on the screen, as though scd1 is
agreeable.
What's wrong ?
Appreciatively,
Courtney
