Yeah, well, if you buy the car, you pay through the nose, but it is your

car.  If you lease it, on the other hand....

Besides, there is no profit motive for car manufacturers to do so.  Why?

Because they don't sell gasoline, and they don't receive the taxes on the

roads.  

Now, if they had a way to ensure that you used their methods to access the

roads, then they might have something.
