Well, for starters, make sure you disable any onboard device you absolutely
know you will not be using that may hog an irq. Then pull out the floppies.
I have found that using more than 2 isa based cards is a major pain in the
ass. Hope that the floppy utils for the nics (and the nics for all that
matters) support the use of 'reserved' irq's. You'll probably need them
unless you have a really bare bones system not using any irq's.
after all that is said and done though, I would suggest buying an el cheapo
pci mobo and go with kingston 10/100 nics (tulip). I set up a router with
an AGP graphics card and 5 pci kingstons in the time it would have taken to
install a normal server. Couldn't have been any easier and the kingston
nics were on 17 bucks a piece in a 5 pack bundle. :)
