Try and see if you have alien. It can convert from deb to rpm and vice versa.
Else, the easiest way is to do ar -x xyz.deb and manually copy the data.tar.gz
to corresponding places and run postinst.sh from control.tar.gz.
Oh.. you also need to run preinst.sh from control.tar.gz before copying the
data.
Or.. Look for a rpm of the same package :)
