        That's a common term used in just about any Computer related

field (especially Windows!) and others where "features" tend to "creep"

in and accumulate whether anyone is using them or not.  Once a feature

is present, it becomes almost impossible to get rid of (the wails and

moans of "but that was my favorite feature" send chills down the spines

of management and support [they have spines?]).  Someone always has some

"neat little idea" that worms it's way into a product and, as much as

everyone regrets the idea and flogs the poor soul mercilessly for ever

suggesting such a lame idea, becomes impossible to exorcise.

Consequently, features tend to accrete and rarely to dissipate.

        So...  The answer is...

        Feeping Creaturism  Creeping Featurism...

        Referring to the continual inexorable accretion of features into

something (presumably software converging rapidly on "bloatware").
