I VERY STRONGLY second this recommendation. You can do like this:
wget ">bar@ftp.site.com/dir/subdir/subsubdir/file.ext">ftp://foo:">bar@ftp.site.com/dir/subdir/subsubdir/file.ext
...etc. Works very well
One caveat: any file you put this into with your password, you should do
a chmod 700 on. This will lock other users out of it.
